One to one consultation
The consultation is crucial to achieving a successful outcome; it gives you an opportunity to ask any questions and helps me get more information on your specific issue and what you hope to achieve from the session(s).
Most importantly, the session and overall strategy is unique to your specific needs, meaning the outcome is far more effective and will produce faster results. My sessions last approximately 50 minutes and payment is due either prior to the session (via bank transfer) or in full at the end of each session (by cash or cheque).
I will supply you with an assessment questionnaire to complete which forms the basis of the consultation. This asks detailed questions about your current health concerns, medical and family history, lifestyle, levels of physical activity, use of medication and supplements and diet. You will also need to complete a food diary and lifestyle questionnaire (available as a download) and complete a contract
The advice and support I give in the session(s) is personalised and tailored to you. It will include simple dietary and lifestyle changes that will help you to achieve your goal. We may discuss portion control, what constitutes a balanced diet, emotional eating, stress, alcohol consumption and activity levels (this is not an exhaustive list)
I also uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) tools and techniques to help you unlock negative thinking patterns that might be blocking your ability to commit to a healthier lifestyle.
I usually carry out a follow up consultation after two to four weeks to monitor progress and make any necessary adjustments. These take place in person but can be done by telephone or Skype if necessary.
I know that sometimes appointments need to be cancelled or rescheduled. However, I ask that you give me 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel. Should you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, the full fee may be charged.
